This May, in honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, we're celebrating the strength, beauty, and diversity of the communities that shape San Diego—and our world. We're proud to partner with the San Diego Foundation’s AANHPI Fund as the recipient of our May Cause Coffee, Kinship. For every bag of Kinship sold, we’ll donate $1 to support their vital work.

Why Kinship?

Kinship is more than a coffee—it’s a commitment to connection. It’s about recognizing that we’re stronger together, and that our stories, cultures, and shared values make our community vibrant and resilient. This month, that spirit lives in every cup.

Our Kinship blend is named for the very idea that fuels this cause: relationships built on respect, shared purpose, and support. It’s why we chose to align with the San Diego Foundation’s AANHPI Fund, which uplifts communities by investing in those making a difference right here in San Diego.

Meet the AANHPI Fund

Launched by the San Diego Foundation in 2024 with a $2.5 million endowment, the AANHPI Fund was created by and for the community. Its mission is to increase visibility, leadership, and support for AANHPI communities through thoughtful, responsive grantmaking. That means providing real resources to AANHPI-led and AANHPI-serving nonprofits who are already doing the work—on the ground and from the heart.

San Diego is home to over 425,000 AANHPI residents, making it one of the most diverse counties in the U.S. But despite that richness, many still face significant disparities in access to health care, mental wellness, education, and representation. The AANHPI Fund is changing that narrative.

This year, the Fund is focusing on the mental and behavioral health of AANHPI youth—especially ages 15 to 24—through culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. This deeply resonates with us, not only as a company that values community care, but as humans who believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and safe.
